How the Service Works:

The WISE Home Energy Analysis is conducted by trained technicians certified by the Building Performance Institute (BPI) and managed by Woodmeister. We perform a range of tests designed to detect air infiltration, throughout your home, and, based on these test results, implement on the spot solutions aimed at reducing air leaks and improving energy efficiency in your house. After the analysis, you will receive a detailed report that outlines recommended actions.

The WISE Home Energy Analysis Includes the Following:

• Preliminary Safety Checks:
We test for carbon monoxide in the heating system and around combustion equipment; visually inspect for asbestos, knob and tube wiring, and mold and mildew in the attic and basement areas; and check for satisfactory ventilation in the attic, bathrooms, and dryer.

• Blower Door Test:
Using a calibrated blower door fan, pressure - sensing device, infrared camera, and smoke stick we locate air leaks throughout the house.

• Step 1 - Immediate Remediations:
Based on the blower door test results, and with your permission, we seal leaks around exterior doors and windows; seal pipe and wire penetrations in the basement; close gaps in the attic walls, roof, and floor; insulate hot water pipes; wrap heating ducts.

• Detailed Report:
Within a week you will receive a detailed diagnostic repor t, summarizing your home’s energy index (HEI) rating, remediation actions implemented during the analysis, plus their projected benefits, estimated energy bill savings, and CO2 reductions.

• Step 2 - Recommended Actions

The report will outline recommended actions that can be implemented in the future for greater impact on your home’s energy efficiency and cost savings.you can take to have a greater impact on energy efficiency and cost savings.
