On June 6, 750 children from ages 3 to 13 will snap on helmets, climb onto a tricycle or bicycle and pedal hard to raise money for life-saving cancer research and treatment as part of the 4th Annual Pan-Mass Challenge Wellesley-Weston Kids Ride. This year, a sponsorship by Woodmeister Master Builders will give the young riders a real finish line to cross when they jubilantly complete their rides at Babson College.

A new Environmental Protection Agency rule requires that contractors follow protective, lead-safe work practices when renovating, repairing, or painting more than six square feet of interior space. The law, which became effective on April 22, protects homeowners from the risk of exposure to harmful lead dust and particles created by common construction activities such as sanding, drilling, and demolition. All contractors must now complete a special training session to become Certified Lead Renovators.

Woodmeister celebrated the first full year of its 1:1 Sustainable Commitment on Earth Day, April 22. The program is our corporate pledge to preserve one square foot of native forest land for every square foot of new construction or remodeling work we do. During the first year, our craftsmen completed 88,313 square feet of construction work on homes throughout the northeast, from southern Maine to New York City.
